Kampfer by Leon Ku

As promised, i would like to post a very good piece (commissioned work) by Leon Ku, winner of many competitions here. He has been a great help to me and I am glad he granted me permission to showcase his works here.

This is easily one of the best Kampfers I have ever seen. So I would like to share with anyone that may come across this blog.

Sad to say but I just given up on doing the Peugeot. Man, I just could not do a decent paint job when it comes to cars. Looks like I'm going to shelf this and work on it once I am ready. For now, it's Gundam for me...sigh sad man...

Back in business after a one day break. Wanted to do this badly but was doing the Freedom/ Strike. This time I most probably stick to OOB and minimum modds. I'm giving myself two weeks to do this. Hmmm... wondering I could make it or not?

This is my entry for the Gundam Seed Competition organized by Sheng Tai in June 2006. I concentrated more on the details and the diaroma. In the end it looked too 'OOB' to my liking. Looks like I am really a risk-adverse person, hahaha.

I got my dio idea from the picture below.

Ah, finally...I completed this one. Took me about two months, one week behind schedule. I like the final product very much especially the Freedom. These two look cool together!

Ok, I'm done with both the Strike Gundam and Freedom Gundam. Photos will be coming soon. Now preparing the base, here's a sneak...

Nu Gundam @ Maintenance Bay

This was my entry for the Singapore BAKAC 2005. After trying a few "maintenance" themes, I decided to try it on a larger scale. I chosen the NU Gundam because I'm a fan of the "Char's Counterattack" series and I always find the design and size of the Gundams awesome.

I took about two months to finish this entry and I'm quite satisfied with the end results. Here's a sketch I did for the concept of the diaroma.
