Japan Trip June 2014

So after three years, I'm back in Tokyo. You can say every modeler dreams of going to where it all began.  For Gunpla that is. This time, I wanted to see the legendary RX-78 at Divercity Odaiba which I miss the last trip. And, also to replenish my supplies and look for new tools.

But most importantly, I get enjoy this trip with my family and close friends. You know, these trip are hard to come by. So I tend to treasure the memories that comes with it.

Happy Mothers' Day, mum..

All I can give you are roses. That is the only thing I can do...

Every year this day, I am always moody. Because I have been missing someone. I decided to pay her a visit with both my kids. I bet that she misses them. I miss her too. Almost five years have passed since she moved on, but it still feel like yesterday. Some days I wake up, feeling a void in my heart. I dread that. I hate it. But you know, you can't help it. Gradually I will learn to overcome it. Clinging on desperately to my memories of her, I hope that they don't fade with time like those old photos. Deep down, I have been blaming myself not doing more for her. But I acknowledge that nothing I do is ever enough. The feeling of helplessness is suffocating. I guess this is Life.

Well, since my sister came as well. I thought we could have a photo shoot for the two little princesses. I believed "she" was there just now watching over us. Hopefully, many many years from now, I will be able to see her again...

To all of you, if you like your mum, love her, if you love her, love her even more. Don't ever hold back...

Japan Trip March 2012

So I am back and loving it. Why? Japan is a fantastic place but I was ill prepared. Temperatures during the day hovers between 5 to 9 degrees and plunges to less than 3 degree at night. A "chilling" experience you can see. Speaking of chills, I have something to share with you guys later.

And, I got the chance to experience snow for the first time, a brief hail storm and even tremors! You can say its the complete tour package. While my family is fully prepared for the weather, I wasn't. I only have a jacket with me and after the second day, I looked wasted LOL...

My last trip to Japan was 10 years ago with my wife (then girlfriend) and who could have predicted that I am back with two kids in tow now LOL... For modelers like us, Japan is one place we must go and experience the shopping err... I mean the Gunpla culture. And this time, I had the HAG gang as my tour guides and thanks to them, I get to shop till I drop!

New Year, New Storage!

This problem has been bugging me for quite some time. Storage. I ran out of space in my workshop at home. And I have been stacking those boxes in every nook and cranny I can find in the house. But I think I had enough. All it took was one call and I got these gentlemen to bring my solution to me, more racks!!!

The 12 feet long rack is not going to fit into my room. So I had them installed in my living room instead. With my wife's blessings of course! Needless to say, I am a happy boy all over again. More storage translate to more Gundams for me!

Thank to you all brothers!

Batam Trip 2011

For the past few months, I have been rushing for Gunpla Builders World Cup and been to hell and back. In the end, I still came up short. But to thank my wife and co for been so understanding during this period (I know some of you might have been murdered by your spouse), we went on a weekend getaway to Batam, Indonesia. To be frank, I thought I was not going to enjoy this trip as there are no shopping, not much activities and, no Gundams. But I was wrong. I totally enjoyed it! The sea, the breeze, the atmosphere and not to mention the local food. I gorged myself to death there.

A half an hour ferry ride and another ten minutes car ride, Turi Beach Resort is the place for a short trip. At the hotel room, I kept staring out to the sea, the view was breathtaking. Everything looked so calm and serene... Ahh man ... I like it.

I left my Super-duper-telescopic-ultra-ultimate-camera at home, so I have to make do with my Samsung Galaxy Note. Yes, photos of this entire trip were taken with my Samsung Galaxy Note. Pardon the blur pictures, but I am no professional :)
