Graze Asura

This is my latest work I named as Asura Graze. This build is actually part of a group build involving several modelers from various countries. It's called the Clash of the Titans Group Build. It's probably a first of its kind GB and hopefully it won't be the last one.

Petit'G Guy Group Build by HAW

Another successful group build! Yes! Had lots of fun today. I always like these meets as I get to mingle with the local lads and get to know them better. And sometimes, I find some "gems" as well! Folks with good potential :)

Back2basics HAG Group Build 2015

Wow! What a day! Just came back from the Group Build hosted by Hobby Art Group and it was a blast! The theme for the first group build of 2015 is Gundam Build Fighters. I was part of the organizing committee. And we have earlier agreed on the "back2basic" concept.

Participants will have to build and paint out of the box. No modifications or alterations. So basically it's an OOB build off. We wanted to emphasize on basics like treating nub marks, seam lines, masking, decaling and so on. It's a good training for the newbies and a timely revision for the veterans.

Zoids Group Build 2014

To be frank, I was afraid the response for this year's Zoids group build would be bad considering the lack of activity on the GB page. But the lads didn't disappoint me after all. I still manage to get 11 entries. And to my pleasant surprise, the quality is much better than last year's entries. A marked improvement for those who joined.

Poisonmonkeys Jesta Group Build 2014

So Waylander and Toymaker have finally decide to organize a Group Build. And we named it "Poisonmonkeys Jesta Group Build".

The first question that comes to your mind is probably, "Why Jesta?" And I say, "Why not?" We all know Jestas are no frills, simple but effective units on the battlefield. But they are still, cannon fodders.

So, what if I give you the opportunity to transform the humble Jesta into a hero suit? Or turn it into the Antagonist, like Tallgeese, will you take it?

Basically, we want participants to go crazy for this group build. We want souped-up units. We want radical concepts. We want outrageous builds. So how is one going to approach this? Simple, think out of the box. Throw away the original concepts and perceptions of the Jesta and revolutionize it. That's the plan.

So yesterday was the meet. And was I disappointed? I got to be kidding if  I say yes. Because, it's by far the most successful and exciting Group Build we organized. The lads were fantastic, lending their full support in the form of fantastic builds. Well, we get to that later...

Jesta (High Mobility) by Waylander

When I saw this Jesta, I knew I had to write a post about it. Because this fellow has come a long way. In a matter of few years, he has established himself as one of the top gunpla modelers here.

And so we organized a Jesta Build Group because we love this fellow. One of the most impressive cannon fodder around! LOL.. And knowing Waylander, his Jesta will be out of the world. And it is.

Zoids Group Build 2013

I have to admit. I am stunned by the strong turnout for the Zoids Group Build 2013 at Hobby Art @ Work. To be very frank, I expected many to fall out as the deadline approaches. But I was given a pleasant surprise by everyone! More than 15 Zoids were submitted! And the quality was pretty impressive as well.

HMM Iron King (Warmachine Version)

The craze started in November last year. While seeking to take a break from Gunpla, I chanced upon Kel Vinci's Berserk Fuhrer and the Zoids "bug" caught me instantly. Then I started hunting for these Highend Master Models or in short "HMM" Zoids. And before long, my collection grew to the point I had to clear out some of my Gundam stashes.

2013 Gunplanatic Group Build at Hobby Art @ Work

Another busy day but fulfilling day for me! I hereby declared Gunplanatics 2013 Mecha Buildgroup a success! These young lads from Gunplanatics had organised probably their first official GB and I must say the response is pretty good. While participants posted their entries online, we managed to arrange for their works to be displayed a Hobby Art @ Work for today.

Zoids Group Build 2013

Something for the lads here. I noticed there is a spike in the interest for Zoids recently and after seeing all the hoots at local forums and even my FB, I think it's about time to start working on your backlog (that applies to me and Waylander as well).

So, we're going to have a Zoids Group Build. Rules you say? Simple, Just Zoids, Zoids, Zoids and more Zoids, you can throw in extra elements like other mechas whatever, sky's the limit as long as the main kit is Zoids. Any Zoids kit is welcomed. Deadline is 4 May 2013 and I have sought the permission of  the bosses at Hobby Art @ Work to use their place for the meet. So come 4 May, bring your completed kit to share and learn! Who knows? I may throw in some prizes as well! ;)

If you are keen and can make yourself available on  4 MAy 2013, indicate your interest here:

See you guys soon!

Waveriders Group Build by HAW

Following the successes of the first 2 group builds, Hobby Art @ Work continue the momentum by organizing the latest Group Build, Waveriders. We wanted to give the lads something different and WR seems to be a great idea. And it's a break from two legged Gunplas I guess.

Well, here are the pictures of our local young modelers!

Gundam Age-1 Zethus

Most people I met said Age-1 Normal is a boring kit. Well, that is precisely what I want to demonstrate that with a attractive colour scheme and appropriate kit bashing , you still can produce decent work. So when Hobby Art Gallery decided to use MG Gundam Age-1 for their latest group build, I bought my first Age-1 from them.

I wanted this to be a fast and simple build so that I can resume work on my World Cup entry. Waylander  and me decided  to use the extra weapon packs for the Strike Gundam and integrate them to the Age. We did some simple modifications and gave each Age a pastel colour scheme and you got a attractive combination.

So I managed to finished this within two weeks and Waylander completed his in a even shorter time span. Well, enough said, I let the pictures do the talking.

Zethus & Ampion

Well, with this one all done up, time to concentrate on Gunpla Builders World Cup!!!
