"Raven" (MG Sazabi conversion)

I finally get to take some decent pictures of my latest creation, "Raven" before I submit for BAKUC 2006. A few months ago, I was flipping through the the Gundam Weapons and came across some fantastic works of this Japanese modeller, Motoo OSUMI. His creation, "Goblins the gravity vanguard" was really mesmerizing. Eventually, I went ahead with a conversion using a MG Sazabi with such a concept in mind.

The first thing I need to do was to create an identity for my creation, I came up with "ATAG" (All Terrain Assault Group). A task force consisting primary of converted Sazabis. My initial plan was to create two converted Sazabis. however , I was too slow and hence only one made it. I wanted a Sazabi that is heavily armed and be able to conduct air raids/ assaults.

I did some scratch building but a majority of the kits were kitbashed from various model kits. I have to apologize in advance for the lack of WIPs as I seldom take photos during construction. These are the only few I have....

Well after three months, I completed Raven. Parts that I have used were a PG Aile Strike Pack, Missile Pods from Heavy Arms Gundam, Weapon from Serpent and the rest were built from scratch. Lots of pla-cards were used and it cost me a bomb.

Damn these ladders! Who scratched them!?

How come I am seeing gaps between the fences? hmmm....

Hey!!! Raven's gone. What are you staring at!?

BAKUC change in venue

As most of us know by now, this year's BAKUC will be held at Suntec City, Entertainment Centre Atrium if I am not wrong. Hmmmm....a change in venue, this is indeed refreshing. Maybe it will be more spacious and more crowds over there. Now doing the final touches of my diorama. Can't wait to finish.....

Four more days!!

It's 3am in the morning, and I am still painting my model. Boy...am I tired. Sleeping barely 3 hours a day. Deadline's this Friday and I have yet to start on the diorama! And I need to have the photos taken by Thursday! OMG! I'm gonna pee in my pants. My work area is in a freaking mess! Paint splattered on the walls, used sandpapers on the floor, etc, etc blah blah blah.

And to make matters worse, my airbrush has been giving me problems. Sigh...."what else can go wrong", I wondered. Must persevere....

10 more days!!!

10 more days to submission. I am done with priming my model and that just leave me about 10 days to finish the kit as well as the diorama. I am really beginning to feel hot under my collar. I managed to gather all the materials i may need for the diorama last weekend, cost me quite small fortune. Hopefully I can finish painting my entry by this Friday and start the ground work.

I hope to unveil my entry at the competition and hence will not be showing what I am doing just yet. If I can actually get this out in time, sweat....

Still here....

Been really busy recently. I have not come up with any new works as I am preparing for BAKUC. Started early on this project but still have a lot to be done. I am beginning to feel a bit stress as well. Another month or so, looks like I am a bit ambitious this time. Well I will see how things goes.

Verde Buster Gundam

Ok I finally complete this one, or sort of. As I was preparing for the flat coat, the front missile hatch came off from the shoulder and went 26 floors down! I could not retrieve that part. So I finished with the final coat minus the decals and some minor touch ups. You can say it's incomplete, what luck! Well I will be doing another one once I'm done with the BAKUC 2006.

Anyway here are some of the pictures taken rather haphazardly, please bear with me. Apologies in advance.
